Kalam Medical Camps Flood Effected Areas: Karwan-e-Khair has been executing welfare and relief works since its day one in Swat, Allai and Sindh. We have been desirous of undertaking more critical assignment. In the recent calamity of flood we got a chance to take up more adventurous relief assignment in the Northern hills of Khyber Pakhtoon Khawah province specially Swat and its vicinity (KALAM) where land route was completely swept off. Our primary objectives were to provide relief items to the strained peoples as soon as possible and establish relief camps. We established Medical camp, equipped with pathological testing facility and various essential medical supplies for a smooth functioning of the camp in the 1st phase. Almost 6,000 cases of different diseases including measles, hepatitis.
On October 01-2010 Karwan-e-Khair Medical camp at Village Gorken Kalam 8 km away from main Kalam approx. 395 patients have been treated.
On October 07-2010 Karwan-e-Khair Medical camp at Band Ground 3 km away from main Kalam approx. 402 patients have been treated. We also distributed 400 lunch boxes filled with food among children, distributed 400 cloths and 15 Quran Pak among needy persons.
On October 20-2010 Karwan-e-Khair Medical camp at Buyoon 2 km away from main Kalam approx. 253 patients have been treated. We also distributed 60 lunch boxes filled with food among children and distributed 60 cloths.
On October 24-2010 Karwan-e-Khair Medical camp at the corner of Shaho, Bafar, Gorken, and village Band. About 4 km from main Kalam, approx. 300 patients have been treated.
