The Kaghan Valley is an alpine-climate valley in the north-east of Mansehra District of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Province of Pakistan. The valley is a popular tourist destination for Pakistanis, and smaller numbers of foreigners.

This 160 kilometer long valley is most popular summer holiday spots for both Pakistanis as well as foreigners. Named after the nearby town of Kaghan, rather than the river which cuts through it (Kunhar River, the valley extends 155 kilometers (96 mi), rising from an elevation of 2,134 feet (650 m) to its highest point, the Babusar Pass, at 13,690 feet (4,170 m). Despite being named after the nearby town of Kaghan, the valley's new tourist base is in the town of Naran), which is a base station that allows further travel to sites such as Lake Saif-ul-Malook andLalazar.

The valley features pine forests, alpine meadows, crystal clear lakes and cool mountain streams. Kunhar River, the main feature of the valley, is famous for its trout. Nestled along the banks of the river are the towns of Balakot, Paras, Mahandari, Kaghan and Naran. The local people are friendly and simple. Gujar nomads are one of the most interesting features of the Kaghan Valley. They take their herds of cattle to the high pastures of the upper Kaghan Valley in spring and bring them down again in autumn. While going to Kaghan you will find them camped along the road in their traditional tents or moving up and down the valley with their herds of pack animals, sheep and goats.

Kaghan Skill Development Centre  On July 26 – 2011 JARED (Kaghan ): We established 7th Skill Development Centre in the Madrasa for girls namely MADRASA TALEEM-UL-ISLAM LILLBANAT in Village JARED (Kaghan), Post Office Jared, Tehsil Balakot, Dist. Mansehra in which more then 150 girls are learning Quran.

Aid Distribution

KAGHAN Aid Distribution October 08-2016: 08 October 2016 Kaghan: Alham do Lillah on 8 October 2016, we distributed Cloths, Blankets, Jackets, Shawls and Coats, Pak Flags of Pakistan among needy people of Kaghan.

Medical Centre

Kaghan Medical Centre  On July 26 – 2011 Kaghan: We established 5th Karwan-e-Khair Medical Centre along with medical equipments in Village JARED (Kaghan) , Post Office Jared, Tehsil Balakot, Dist. Mansehra. The Karwan-e-Khair Medical Centre  at a distance of 40 KM from the main Kaghan Road.

The GovernmentHospital is situated far from this area, which is out of reach for the people of this area. Monthly more than 500 patients are getting free medication and medicine from the Medical Centre.
