Tharparker is a district that occurs in the south east of Sindh Province of Pakistan has been facing severe drought. It happens to be  one of the 23 districts of the Sindh Province. More than 90% of the people live in more than 200 rural villages. The headquarters of the thar is known as Mithi. A very large area of tharparker constitutes of the Thar Desert. The language spoken in tharparer region is called Dhatki which is also known as ‘Thari’ Language. Thari is basically a rajistani language and is the most spoken language in the region. However some people also speak urdu and sindhi. Tharparker homes two kinds of classes , the muslims  and the Hindus. According to a consensus held in 1998, muslims constitute almost 59% of the population whereas the Hindus constitute of the rest of 41% of the total population of the region.

The Thari culture is somewhat a mixture of the Gujrati, rajistani and Sindhi Culture. However the Rajistani Culture overshadows the other two. Also the Thari Music seems to be more inspired from the rajistani traditional music however it has a sound and feel of its own.

The Thar Desert, straddling the Indian border and one of Pakistan’s poorest areas, has seen an alarming number of children suffering pneumonia or diarrhea due to a dangerous mix of drought, poverty and poor health infrastructure

Boring Well for Clean Water to drink in THAR DESERT, Village Sabir Kolhi, Taluka Diplo, District Mithi, Sindh, Sep 27,2014  

On Sep 27,2014, we visited THAR DESERT to attend the opening ceremony

Alham do LIllah Boring of Well for Clean Water to drink is now being completed for the people of  THAR DESERT, Village Sabir Kolhi, Taluka Diplo, District Mithi, Sindh under the supervision of Mr. Faiz Ahmed,

As there is shortage of water in different areas of THAR DESERT, members of Khi and THAR have passed a resolution that boring and wells need to be provided in remote Areas of THAR. So, the people take relief out of it.

On Sep 08, 2014 we had started Boring of Well for Clean Water to drink and completed on Sep 22, 2014 

One of our well wisher offer us a great support in this regard "for the sake of Eisaal-e-Sawab of his Deares Mother" JAZZAK ALLAH.

Thar Village Golio Skill Development Centre Feb 19 – 2011

Opening ceremony of  4th Skill Development Centre / Industrial Home along with 10 sewing Machines. Skills always play important role in improving the income of a family. Karwan-e-Khair is also managing these centres where the widows, orphans, needy poor men, women and children are being provided along with basic education, training of daily living,  house hold skill and income generating skills  including cooking, ironing, washing, handicraft, tailoring etc.

The organization also provides sewing machines to needy poor and worst effected persons in order to get them on their own feet.

Thar Village Morano Medical Centre Feb 20 - 2011

Opening ceremony of  4th Karwan-e-Khair Medical Centre along with Generator ( as there no electricity) with equipment. Such as Blood Pressure Meters “Sphygmomanometer” (manual & digital) – Stethoscopes , Sugar Level Meters with strips & lancets), Pregnancy Rapid Test, Thermometers, Infrared Lamps, Steam Baths, Nebulizers, Plastic Medical Boxes With Minor Surgery items (scissor etc), ENT Set, Dental Equipment, Crutches – Walking Aids, Emergency Stretchers, Suction Machines, I.V Poles, Pen Lights, Hot Bottles, Weight Scale, X-Ray viewer, Clinic items, Medicines., Torches, Foot Stool, Dust Bin, Wheel Chair, Examination Table, Examination Lamp, Bed Side Screen, Oxygen Intake Device, Knee Ankle Cervical Support, Wrist Support , Back Lumbosacral Support.

In fact Karwan-e-Khair is the first organization to establish these projects in THAR. According to resources there is a tremendous rise in the OPD since Medical Centre established. In fact Karwan-e-Khair is the first organization to establish these projects in THAR.

Thar Medical Camp Feb 20 - 2011

Team of doctors has installed two days Free Medical Camps at Morano and Golio. Collectively more than 400 patients were catered free treatment, we also arranged Sugar Level Test, Pregnancy Rapid Test.

Thar Medical Camp Oct 04 - 2009

Karwan-e-Khair welfare organization is one of the NGO working at the villages of  THAR during the last several years, with the collaboration of ARADA (Association for Research and Development of Rural Areas). ARADA is one of the leading NGO working at villages of THAR. ARADA has established dispensaries in these out reach areas which are providing Free OPD facilities to people of these villages and people living in the circumference of 10 km. The total patients treated without any charges from these dispensaries are more then 17000.

On Oct 4, 2009 a team of doctors  has installed two days Free Medical Camps at Morano and Golyio( Tehsil Of Islamkot ). Collectively more than 500 patients were catered free treatment, free screening for Hepatitis B and C. The screening results were alarming and need more attention of concerned authorities. In Morano total 70 persons were screened out of which 06 were Hepatitis B and C positive like wise in Golyio 45 persons were tested out of which 4 were positive.
